Some pet stores sell reptile sand thats odour absorbent aswell, but you hav to make sure the bluey doesnt eat it and it will stain its skin

With the carpet, If you spot clean regularly and give a weekly clean with a reptile cleaner, you shouldn't have any odours and its very easy to wash. You can wash and put out in the sun to dry. Having a spare one is a good idea as you can replace instantly and wash the other one in your spare time.
