I had to get a new batch of mice for my little one yesterday but my usual shop's freezer had broken down so they had none. I usually use a particular brand (not sure if I can mention the name) that usually come in packs of 7 for about $18 a pack (last time I bought them anyway).

So I had to go to another petshop that I know has frozen mice and they charged me $28 for 5. Don't know the supplier of these but they came in a pretty excessive package. I told them that is why I don't shop here regularly because I thnk they are expensive.

I was just wondering where people usually get their mice from and what they pay? Am I being undercharged by my usual shop or is that about right?

My local was charging $3 per mouse and $7 to $9 per Rat the pack of frozen were a little cheaper but not much I now breed my own bit of food & wood shaving is really cheap

Ive been breeding my own for a few months now, the prices here are ridiculous especially for rats, I think last time I checked it was $13 for a large.

I worked out the cost of feeding the dog and reckon it would be cheaper to grow my own cows and get a canning machine.
