how cold does your freezer have to be in order to store rodents?

hi! i'm a minor, i just got a snake a week ago, and since no one in my family wants to share their ice cream department with frozen rodents, i had to buy a fridge/freezer all for myself. i bought the food last week, when i got my snake, and i hadn't checked on it until now. when i looked, all of the rats seem to have unfrozen. they were all squishy, dark pink (i bought pinkie rats), and some parts were black-ish in colour. it's clear that the temperature in the freezer was too low. i have no way of changing the temperature, so it looks like i'll need to buy a new freezer. so i don't make the same mistake again, what temperature should i store the rodents in? and what freezer should i buy? i need help

Discoloration is normal, especially darkened pinkies but since they thawed you definitely need to trash them. You want it to be at least -17°c or 0°f. At least I try to keep mine that cold.
