Bredli breeding 'season'?

G'Day all,

Might be a silly question but what time of year do bredli pythons breed?
Or is there no real time of year in captivity?

I plan to buy a yearling or hatchie (hypo).
Is there a time of year they come 'on the market'?

Late Jan - Feb is usually when hatchie Bredli's are available.

Generally the latest breeders of all the carpets & are in the height of mating season now as Darwins (which are generally the earliest of the carpets) are laying their eggs. My Bredli eggs were laid on Xmas eve & hatched in mid to late Feb without checking the exact date.

l think you will find "most" hatchie bredli that come onto the market that have had 6-8 "good feeds" wont be available until march - april....l am in brisbane and areas do vary a bit but l put mine together beginning of sept. eggs 2nd. week of dec. hatchies around valentines day (14th. feb.) two weeks to the 1st. shed and then 6 weeks of feeds (6 feeds) = 14th april (roughly)....solar 17 (Baden)
