Hey guys, Looking into getting my first snake soon, and Ive got my eyes on a Bredli. They are beautiful looking snakes and have heard quite a few good things about them.

I am going to start out with a click clack, but I was wondering at what age you usually move a snake into a reasonably sized enclosure, because at the moment I have enough money for a snake and the little click clack set up, but will take me a few months to save up for an enclosure.

Thanks, Josh

I had mine in a click clack, but last month moved him into a 1m x 1m. He is about 7 months old

good choice for a first snake, i got a pair for my first, generally very placid, mine are awesome to handle.and you will rarely hear bredli's having feeding problems, they are gluttons. i got a jungle for my second, he's beautiful but a real fussy eater and mean tempered at times.
and a click clack will be sufficient til you can afford a bigger enclosure. all the best and get some pics up once you get one.

my childreni is just bout a year old and still in a tub (that is placed in it's enclosure) ... im thinking of letting him out into the enclosure on his bday .... sept 20th ;)

make sure u have a heat mat, hide, water bowl and thermometer in the click clack if it's not placed in an enclosure....and use paper towels as substrate...

pics soon then yea?? ;)

Ok, thanks for the help guys, Yeah will definitly post up pictures when I get him! :D

It all depends on how big the little snake gets, I'd say put him in a clickclack until he looks too big for it, and then put him in an enclosure.

I have never used them, all my hatchies have started out in a 60x30x30cm tank, only because it was gvien to me. I'm sure it's possible to upsize the click clack as the snake becomes bigger as a cheap form of housing, some people keep snakes in tubs/racks but thats another thread;)

Fantastic choice of snake for so many reasons (but I may be biased).:D:D:D

Yeah, they do look like beautiful snakes!
I plan to move him into a wooden enclosure when he is big enough, just going to start out in a Click-Clack, Ive looked at the "guide to building a click-clack" thread, looks simple enough. Just wondering what size is recommended for a young Bredli, also Will getting a heat mat and thermostat be a problem? is their certain wattages or anything?

Thanks
