We get the ink on our skin because our oils "draw" the ink out of the paper, whereas snake's skin is mainly oil free, hence no "drawing" of ink onto the snake. There you go zoe,he is a bloody nutcase!!!! I use marine carpet but still struggle with smell, even tho' africafishhead doesn't, but he is a mistical, magical creature that not many have had the fortune (or misfortune) of meeting yet!!! LOL

oh goodie an Adam V's Africa match...should be of interest.....

I use butchers paper no ink and cleaner than marine carpet

I still stick with newspaper. Ink do not kill my misus when she read sunday papers, so I hope that my snakies survive inkconjestion.
Just thinking , with today awernes, if that paper ink would be harmfull to skin, newspaper printers would be in some sort of trouble by now.

I use newspaper and bc, i can't say i've ever had a problem with newspaper ink coloring snakes.
BC is easier to clean than newspaper and is great for any size snakes.
MC carpet looks good but to keep it smelling clean takes a bit of work, so it's very time comsuming when you have a sizeable collection.

It's been a while since a BC battle occured. :)

I give my womas BC because they like to move it around somewhat.

If I give them newspaper they get under it and eventually crap under the paper.

All my other indoor stuff gets newspaper.

Outdoor stuff gets hardwood shavings.

cheers

Luke
