Hi guys am thinking of breeding either woodies or crickets for my beardies. So my question is which is easier, all my beardies love their food so there is no preference as to what they would prefer. At this stage I don't want to breed both so which ever would benefit them more is what I would like t start with. Any suggestions?

woodies, they are easier to breed and don't eat the baby crickets that hatch. Also they make no noise :)

Is there a difference with smell at all, I was told that woodies produce more of an odour?

Woodies are definitely the easiest to breed.

I had a few escape from my beardies enclosure and they started their own colony under the fish tank....not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing ;)

EDIT: I breed both and I haven't noticed a more pronounced odur from the woodies than the crickets. Maybe just me though?

just clean out any dead woodies and any uneaten carrot etc. Same with the crickets.

Woodies can produce a smell - to counter this I have been putting chaff in with them; they feed on it, hide in it, it gives them a little bit of insulation and it stops the smell.
