Well it wasn't a bad day. A bit wet but I think those who showed up enjoyed it. The wildlife centre was pretty good although they wouldn't let us sit for coffee even though Wrasse begged cuz I think Recharge was needing his 20th cup for the day. Dicco was a happy chap after getting his babies from Sarahbell. I met dobermanmick, Boa showed up and Kenshin too. We left after the wildlife centre, too wet for me and had things to do so I have no idea what the others got up to after I left. I got pics of everyone but won't post them unless they say it's ok. But here's some animals.....

60 Mt Nebo Rd, The Gap. get on waterworks Rd n keep driving, lol. Cant miss it. Its at the Brisbane Forest Park Headquarters.

Sounds like you had a good wet day. More pics would be great. :D

I had a great morning shame about the rain though Would have enjoyed a walk and see some more natives ,I will get some pics up soon .
Huggy I would have ridden the bike but it was too wet :(

Those of us left went on to Bellbird Grove for a BBQ, the weather improved immediately, the sun came out and there was barely a cloud in the sky for the rest of the day. We went for a walk along the, mostly, dry creek and saw a big 6 foot (male?) Lace Monitor, a couple of intrepid hunters took off through the undergrowth with no regard for their own safety in pursuit of the lizard, considering it was easily 9 feet in length the danger to life and limb was very real
The monitor crossed the creek in front of those members of the expedition unable or unwillinging to pursue this 11 foot long monster, after terrorising these people for some 15 minutes Wrasse managed to beat the lizard off and it retreated into the bush to lick it's wounds.

We ended up leaving at around 4 o'clock.
