Brown snake?

I know about that, thats why I asked I'm not too good at IDing wild snakes, as I havnt seen many before now, so dont have practice. When I looked it up and noticed that browns have spots on their belly, I knew it wasnt.

not yet, too low on funds at the moment. Have a job interview on thurs, lets hope that goes well so that I can order a field guide!
