buying an enclosure

hi everyone I recently saw a reptile enclosure in the paper it was 90 x 45 x 45 for $300 and it came with a heat mat and a broken uv light and some other accessories its made of glass and i was wondering whether I should get it heres a pic http://www.aussiepythons.com/data/photoplog/18502/1_snake_enclosure.jpg

i wouldnt pay 300 for that. in my opinion for 50 bucks more you could get the same enclosure brand new.

price seems reasonable, however i've never agreed with glass enclosures.
glass releases head more readily than any other material, therefore your heating equipment is going to be working harder for longer.
i build enclosures and i always use ply or melamine with a framed glass door. my personal preference though.
compare that price with the ones from the pet shop, its the same one they sell.

IMO it's too much, it depends what you want to keep, but glass doesn't hold heat, try ebay or buy new

Mate I just bought a new melamine enclosure on the weekend, another member on here makes them, top build quality, it's a 1220x610x460H (4'x2'x1.5'H), sliding glass front panels, vents, ceramic lamp socket wired, thermostat, lock. The lot for less than $300. The bloke that built it is in Western Sydney, so this doesn't really help you, but I'm sure someone over your way would do something similar.
