Honestly, this sounds like a really dumb question to ask, but we just returned home this evening to find what appears to be a clutch of eggs in the enclosure for our Southern Angle Headed.
Strange thing is that we've had this little guy for almost 2 years from juvenile and he/she has not been in contact with any other other Southerns since (or any reptiles for that matter), since purchase.
Did a little googling just now and apparently females can hold sperm through the winter until the time is right, but this would have been 2 winters.
Not sure if anyone can assist with some insight?
Thanks in advance.
