Cannibalism in Carpet Pythons

Hello, so I read about a female Jungle Carpet Python that ate her male tank mate. Does this happen often? Does it happen in all Carpet Python subspecies? Does anyone have any stories or accounts of carpet pythons exhibiting cannabilism? I'm especially interested in learning if Diamond Pythons do it since they seem so docile.

Whether it's a possum, bird, bat, lizard, snake, cat or literally anything else any Diamond Carpet has ever eaten, it will never, ever refer to a Diamond as 'so docile'.
