Hey everyone im in just about to clean a cage that i recently had a hatchie coastal in its a mates of mine he went overseas for a month anyways just wondering how do i use the vet cleaner it says 1:100 so i mixed up that into the right amount and now do i.

Just spray it on wipe it off and let it dry.

Spray it leave it for 10mins wipe it off and rewipe with a watered cloth.

And also how should i clean all the plants, vines, logs etc do i use the cleaner or just put the lot in a big tub filled with water and the cleaner in the water or clean each item seperate.

If someone could help with these questions id really love the help and tips.

Thanks Josh

do u have access to a steam cleaner? big ask i know, but i use that in my enclosures and also on my fake plants, rock and logs. works well because the heat kills any bacteria or bugs etc.

If you want to, you can spray everything until it seems very wet and let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse and wipe clean. It sort of depends on what you are cleaning and how much stuff. For example, if I am only cleaning one water bowl for an adult snake, I generally spray it with cleaner and let it sit for 10 minutes or more, then rinse before refilling and putting it in the enclosure. However, if I need to wash all 13 little dishes for my hatchlings, I put them in a bucket and just make up a solution for them to soak in for a while. Vines and logs can be a bit trickier because they are more porous. The steam cleaner is a good idea, but make sure you give everything a thorough steam. This can melt the glue on cheap stuff (like some of the rather disposable decorative vines I buy).

"• Total spectrum of kill – bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, sporicidal, tuberculocidal - Rapid speed
of kill – 30 secs Gram +ve bacteria and 60 secs Gram -ve bacteria at a 1:500 dilution" taken originally from importer/wholesaler of F10). I think you were saying that you were using in a stronger concentration (100:1). I would spray everything, wait 10 mins, rinse and then allow to dry. If you want to be extra careful then quarantine the enclosure and all accessories and re treat a second time after everything has dried just in case. If you have the luxury of time then quarantine everything for 6 months, after 2 cleans and a quarantine I would feel comfortable.
