I've haven't been keeping reptiles for a few years now but previously built a rack setup when I had around 10 animals.

Now i'm getting my son his first snake (hatchling marble childrens python) for xmas & I'm trying to work out what the best small setup would be for just keeping a single python?

I already have a habitat high-range pulse thermostat but no heat matt or cord, i was thinking about routing some heat cord into some melamine and laying a tile on top of it then just sitting a plastic tub on top of it?

Any other ideas?

Best place to get tubs with a flat base these days? we are based in Brisbane

I have this setup for my Stimson. Nearly outgrown both now, but works quite easily with heat mat. Started with 9L sistema tub. Bigger one is the 15l I think. Kmart side table is actually a perfect fit with out lid for small one making easier access. Cheap option and looks ok. More importantly good setup for young snake.
