hey guys, I got a new coastal, he is stunning and very well behaved and hasnt bitten and is just great... he sometimes constricts when i am handling him and he constricts my fingers and just sits there and relaxes... Im not sure if this is a habbit he should be getting into... its not bad now but when he is big it could be challenging... what does this mean??? is he just wrapping on like he would a branch or is he trying to tell me something??? Its just seems a little odd that he would do that especially that he isnt biting or showing any signs of being scared or uncomfortable... what do you guys think???

congrats on the new coastal ;) Yep, he is treating you like a tree. if you were up a big tree, would you be holding on tight? lol He settling in alright?

Maybe he is just hanging onto you like he would a branch?. .

Dont Worry mate when i got my first coastal he done the same thing, now hes 4ft he just sits there. i found if you let the wrap there tail around your finger or wrist they calm down a bit, as i guess it makes them feel more secure???????

Hey rash, he is settling in beautifully... he has eaten and he is so good to handle... he is a bit flighty and legs it sometimes but he is really well behaved... I got a jungle who is going to be alot of work though... she is aggressive as anything, strikes at me through the click clack... Its good to know that the constricting isnt that bad a thing... I just hope he doesnt do it when he is big...
