so sorry to hear that,...it totally sucks losing critters. :(

RIP Anna. :(

sorry to hear that mate, I was watching this thread hoping for a happier outcome. At least you tried you best for her.

so does anyone know how common it is for pythons to get cancer ? i'm not trying to hijack or detract from the sad outcome, just after a bit more info

no thats fine, i would like to know aswell, i was simply expecting 30 years - coastals are robust, good feeders etc. She only got to 3.

Oh wow, only 3 years, my coastal girl will be 3 in Jan, and i will have had her for 2 years, and if this happened to me i would be a basket case, like you say, we sort of expect a good 20+ years......

as i stated earlier ,i have had 2 .one was a 3yo coastal ,the other a 10yo bredli. a mate of mine in Hervey bay just put his female MD around 7yo put down with a big tumour. another gladstone person has had 2 put down over about 8 years.it seems to be fairly common unfortunatly .i too have autopsy photos and x-ray photos showing an agressive tumour eating away at rib bones.
cheers

im so sorry to hear your loss mate. i had my 3ish year old coastal girl pass away about a month ago now. Unfortunatly liver failure was what took her. I am now so so so paranoid about my male as he is all i have left and dont even want to think about loosing him. I really feel for ya mate, keep ya chin up and think about how bloody good those 3 years where.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
Sadly, animals are not immune to cancer either.
