Hi all,

I'm sure most of you have heard about RSP Crazy's missing Roughie "Roudy" and your more than likely over hearing about it?

Police help attempts have ceased and posters offering rewards are dull and I was wondering if you were in possession of this snake what would you do?

We know that Roudy was sold by his kidnapers for $150 LAD market value and we originally posted flyers with no priced reward and soon after publicly advertised a negotiable reward of $400 which I think is generous and around now market value.

We have had no luck and Roudy is so sentimental to us we're thinking of upping the offer.

Would you be interested in a reward of $1000? Or a swap for somthing we have on offer wether it be reptile related or not?

I would really appreciate peoples opinions.
What would you do if you were in their shoes?

We were told by someone who knows the boys who took Roudy. If the holders of Roudy want something reptile related and don't have correct licensing then it will not be an option for them.

hmmm my criminal mind tells me that when the person comes forward with the roughie instead of giving them my $$$ or other reps id just jump the buggers and get what is mine back whether i had to hire some help to do it ;)(maybe have a chat with the big bouncer at my local pub or club and get them on my side rather give them some $$$) but thats just what my criminal mind thinks :)

id be questioning seller if it was being offloaded for that price, how do you know how much it was sold for?

The kid that robbed me, bragged about the robbery to a friend of his. This friend, thought stealing someones pet was just to low for anyone, so he contacted us and told us everything. The kids name, address, his friends, how much the snake sold for and where the snake apparently is.

We had the cops check everything out. They even searched the house where Roudy apparently is, only problem with their search, was they only checked the main house, their are 2-3 small buildings out the back (where the kids apparently live). The cops left a flyer with them and asked them to contact us if they hear anything. The owner of this house is a Bikie associated trucky.

Now I am recovering from back surgery and live very close to the kid that robbed me and where my snake apparently is (all in Windsor). So I can't risk being placed in any situation that could involve me being pushed even (or I'm back in hospital). Which makes questioning people in person, very difficult and risky.

I see the kid that robbed me almost every day. He's around 17 years old, part aboriginal and a "Lad". He's one of those people that wouldn't think twice about kicking the crap out of you for $2 in your pocket, if you were caught in an ally with him. He knows the cops can't touch him, and gave them heaps when they knocked on his door for questioning. So talking to him ain't much of an option.

crappy predicament, one day that will catch up with him me thinks

im not sure offering a higher reward will help, though you never know i guess, but whats to stop them pinching stuff again,he sounds like a piece of work

I have moved house (other side of Windsor) and sold my car. So hopefully they won't be able to work out where I live. Also we have decked out this place with security cameras (recording 24/7), there's always someone here and there's something like 14 dogs here that go off their heads when they hear something.

Should do the trick, but as you said, "you never know".

hmm by the sounds of it you probly could have chiped the other lads a few bucks and had your snake back and had the **** kicked out of him.

approaching the family of the boy who bought it?

do a lot of BS and tell him you think his son didnt realise it was a stolen reptile, drop a few hints about how big the fine is if the cops happen to raid them and find a snake on their property

never know

Just get someone to beat the crap out of him.

Bikeys will do sfa for a 'truckie associate"

Yes it's tempting to do all these things but I'm planning on trying to keep it simple get it over and done with and maybe not have to keep looking over our shoulders in the future. We have had lots of people volunteer their muscles but we don't want to but our friends and family in harms way. But a huge Thank you anyway! :)

I think you have only two real options.

1) If you are able to contact the kid that alerted you to the whereabouts of the python ask him to try and buy the python back pretending its for himself. He shouldn't have any trouble doing this I you are willing to pay $1000. Tell him he can keep the difference of any price he can negotiate. Of course to make sure he doesn't rip you off don't just hand over $1000 all at once, if you do that he will probably just keep the money.

2) Not sure what kind of circles you move in but for $1000 you should be able to get someone to pay them a little visit. Of course this comes with its own risks unless you understand that world and it seems like you don't. It is also illegal.

If you want to keep it simple and get over it then take your $1000 reward and buy a new rsp. If you haven't got it back by now I don't think you have much chance

What he said.

citrus i think you will find that its more the sentimental value

Mate if he has had to move house and sell his car because of the fear these people might come back.... As much as you miss him but at what cost. Some people are just scum

i meant that the reason there trying to get it back is because of the sentimental value has nothing to do with them moving house and selling their car

As much as you miss him but at what cost.
obviously $1000

Feel for you mate, but you are In a no win situation, especially now you have It on a public forum......Old Bill will put recovery of stolen snake In too hard basket, and not give a s...................t

You are missing my point.....Is it worth your families safety?

how do you know that just trying to get it back is going to endanger their family , sure if they went and got them flogged maybe but from offering a reward

they already said they had people offer to attempt to get it back by force but they declined for their safety fair enough. so explain how what they have tried doing as a second option (which is offering a higher reward ) is going to endanger their family

from what i understand the snake was stolen by kids citrus not a bunch of hardened up thugs they sold up and moved so they couldn't steal more of their stuff
