I have never seen one of these dragons in the wild before and I thought I never would. That is why I am starting this thread - asking for the small dragon enthusiasts to help out. When I took these pics at the Breakaways Coober Pedy, I straight away assumed it was a C. pictus and took a few shots. I posted the pic as a entry on the competition then OzGecko put his two cents worth in and said it could be a C. tjantjalka. The more I have looked at other information I have, the more i think he is right, it would be good to see what others in the know think (the last pic is the spot where the dragon was found).
Thanks in advance Luke

HI,

Its Ctenophorus tjantjalka I have found them along the oodnadatta track.

CHeers,
Scott

Sorry Luke,
When you showed me the pic, it's what came to mind straight away. At least there's a reason to go back now, so you can photograph some adults for us. Only stirring you.

I don't need much stirring I'm all ready saving up for the next trip.

Thanks for your input Scott, did you happen to get any pics of them? I've only seen a few pics of them in my books.
