Hey guys.

Can anyone recommend a good book on this Species? Im struggling to find any good information about them. Interested in Captive care and Husbandry...and also general info.

Thanks

yeh Cunningham's are a good species. captive care is similar to blue-tongues but way more active. their a colony species so more the merrier and bigger the cage the better. they can be held but are skittish for the first couple of month and just leave until it starts eating from your hand then start trying to hold it.

Two good books for Cunningham's would be A Guide to Australian Skinks in Captivity by Dr Danny Brown and Keeping and Breeding Australian Lizards edited by Mike Swan. They both cover everything you would need in the relevant sections.

They are rock dwellers and you can set up a cool enclousure with slabs and large rocks and slabs that they can hide in. They are very active baskers and eat a lot.
