How long is too long without having gone onto the heat pad/source for a snake?

I got my first snake this week, a beautiful ~5 month old Jungle girl, and I thought she was doing really well up till last night. I opened the click-clack for a water change and lifted her warm end hide to check for poop, at which point she shot out of the tub like a bullet. I had both hands full so wasn't quick at grabbing her, and she 'sprinted' to the back end of the surface. I just managed to grab the end of her tail slightly, but let go quickly because she was far too strong willed to let herself get lifted by the tail, and I didn't want to cause any damage.
She ended up on the floor, and I used tongs to finally coordinate her getting back in the tub, although she made a couple more attempts.
She then spent roughly 45 minutes - 1 hour circling the tub looking for an exit, before she finally calmly entered the cool end hide and curled up slowly, and I thought she had calmed down and let her be in peace. Checking up from the exterior of the enclosure throughout the evening, I was already somewhat concerned that she wasn't shifting at all from that cool hide, and put a pillow case over the tub to darken things as much as possible.
I let her be, went to sleep and just hoped she would feel the need to thermoregulate herself during the night and move about freely.

I checked now, and she simply hasn't moved, which by my calculations is roughly 16 hours without heating herself, which goes against all her previous movements so far.

lol, 16 hours,... :)

my male jungle will often spend a week or more without visiting his heat source,...(19C where he sits) the girl likes the 22C area and will spend a few days there before moving back to the heat, my bredli mostly stay in their basket, or lower shelves (22C) Alot of the time mine only really make good use of their heat spot for a few days after eating,..aside from that they dont seem all that fussed with constant thermoregulation,...

as long as she has the option of heat when he wants it your job is done (and she will be fine)

Ah thank god. I told myself I wouldn't be one of those worries about everything first time owner, but seems that's already gone out the door.
I just reacted based on her previous actions, which was freely and happily moving between hide on the heat and the cooler area for a short while, seeing her sit in the cool side for so long just immediately brought up the worries.
Thanks very much for setting it straight, will let her be in peace and just wait it out 'till she goes back to the heat on her own accord.

haha its hard not to worry at first, you'll get used to it,... :)
