I have a 7 month old 100% Het Darwin, it is currently eating 1 fuzzy rat per week and has been slamming them down and never refuses a feed. My question is he still seems to be hungry, I feed him yesterday and today he is out and looks to be hunting again. I know that normally I should only feed once a week but wondering if I should try a extra feed a week or add in a small mouse on top of his fuzzy rat?

see if he can take rat pups (2wo rats), if he's happy to take them move him up to that :)

Thanks, I did think about a bigger size....maybe if I can stop him from being so hungry he will stop trying to eat my hand lol

Feeding 2/3 items weekly will settle it down so he's more satisfied... Feeding 1 item just puts them in food mode looking for more

I tried to feed him another fuzzy today and he struck and coiled but has decided to just lay on it now. As he has only just gone on fuzzy rats should I maybe go back down to pinkies but feed him 2 of these on feed day?

I Have 100% het and albino of same age and the het is a garbage disposal unit...my albino is alittle more fussy but they both comfortably eat 2 x fuzzie rats a week...( the Het would eat till it exploded if I gave it the chance).........both r great handlers also once hooked out

The guy at the shop stuffed up and sold me fuzzy mice so next feed I am going to try feeding 2 fuzzy mice one after the other and see how it takes that :)

He was out hunting last night and again today, I ended up giving him the last one of the fuzzy rats I had and he ate it like he hadn't been fed for months lol
