Is it possible to swap the day/night cycles around with pythons? I usually turn off the heat at night, or turn it right down. I now have solar panels on the roof and its more economical to use power at night and cut down on usage through daylight hours.
Can i trick my pythons into thinking day is night and night is day? Maybe darken the room through the day and use uv lighting at night along with the ceramics?
Mainly concerned with the cycles coming into breeding seasons.
Any thoughts?
THanks,
Ash

I don't believe you will be able to trick your python into day/night cycle - I had UV light and the python just hid. You could try but I don't think the python will be easily tricked by a dark room and a UV light in the night time.

Can't see why it wouldn't work, just make sure windows are covered. May be hard to stimpulate night time temp drops during the day though for breeding.

It works for zoos with mammals so i cant see how it wouldnt work with herps, as long as it was done correctly

thanks guys, might be worth a try. once i get my new enclosures made i might have a go at tricking them!
