I am in the process of designing an aviary for my diamond pythons and was wondering what were peoples views on the size of an aviary for a trio of diamond python?
I have my trio of adult coastals in an aviary. It is 4mx2.5mx2m. It has a central divider with a door in it that can be left open or closed (very handy at feeding time ) They use all the space in there and I can see no advantage in going smaller unless you have a small yard. Back 1/3 is covered with a small metal return coming down from the roof, about 45cm. This stops the wind and rain getting into the top / back section where some of the hides are located. Hides on the ground and elevated (PVC pipe for the elevated ones.) Trees, branches, vines everything that I thought looked good in there.
