I have a 2yr old spotted python n the seller was adament it was a male, but thistime last yr i noticed him/ her basking belly up and again this year which ismaking me think itsa female andshe is possisbly going through ovulation asdid my other girls. Obviously the solution wuld b probing but the prrvious owner had a heat rock n itburnt the the tail off n litetaly went all the way to the cloaca maybe a cm or two away so im hesitant to probe incase of any further damage.
My instincts tell its a girl n the belly up is swayingme more now,
wat do u guysthink its also impossible to check with the length of tail Or count subcordal scales as its just got a stump now the tail grewbak a little bit but i dont tjink the poor bugga willever get it bak to
its full lenght ( hence his name stumpy lol)
