Hey peoples,

My 3 month old beardie has just started to show some worrying signs today. I noticed when i fed him his crickets he was shaking his head from side to side quickly and missing crickets placed pretty much directly infront of him, he also seemed wobbly on his feet.

After reading up in a few books it seems he may have an ear infection, and it did seem to coincide with the fact that i had him bathed a few hours earlier. So my thoughts are water in his ear maybe?

He is kept in a 40g breeder
Reptisun 10.0 tube
40c basking , bout 27 cool side
crickets no larger than between his eyes and dusted 7x a week calcium, 2x week multivite
carpet substrate

Any ideas?

I would let a vet take a look at him. Especially being wobbly on his feet.

I agree with fay, go to a vet asap.
I seen threads on here describing similar symptoms and the beardie actually died while the person "tried new things"

Thanks guys, yeah im concerned, i will try get him to a vet asap, also if anyone has any recommendation's for reptile vets on the central coast nsw, would be appreciated.

Peter Nosworthy at Wyoming veterinary clinic is who i use and recommend as he has treated dragons for me before at a more than reasonable price
He was recommended to me by the Australian Reptile Park
