I have a mate in Adelaide and he experiences blackouts from power outages several times a month.

Where abouts in Adelaide does he live?
I have not had a blackout in over 6months.

Kapunda...he is not a herp mate...he is a work colleague...at least he claims that he has a lot of blackouts..perhaps it is an excuse to get out of work for a few hours ..he had one of those last week.

right so im looking at around $30-50 quarterly just for my critters now and geckos if and when i get them

actually just worked it out. itll be about 60-100 running 5x40watts or 5x60watts
depending on the time of year...
