Ok, so i'm starting to lose my mind. Yesterday arvo i let my 2yr Coastal out then i made the mistake of falling asleep. I woke up and cant find her anywhere, Ive put flour lines down to see if she moves, put a fresh mouse down and moved a head mat into a corner in the kitchen, but nothing anywhere..

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the snake stays in the kitchen it could be in the guts of the stove or the fridge - you need to get out there about 30 mins after lights out, with a good torch, and search the house. A torch will pick them up much easier than general room lighting, and they are usually more active for an hour or two after it becomes dark.

lol you beat me to it saximus! (not making fun of you Christensen, but there have been a few posts lately about snakes getting out and being found in the bottom of newly emptied bird cages!)

my husband almost did the same thing! lucky i was home and woke him up just as the snake was leaving his hand. hope he turns up soon

do you know what room your snake is in? make a list of hiding places and ways he could have gained access to another room. if you can find the most likely places it could be in, brain some mice and place them somewhere it has to come all the way out to get them, wait for a while and see if he comes out.
my yearling bredli escaped in somewhat similar circumstances but we were able to remove the object he was hiding behind with a hacksaw and about three hours of backbreaking work
i sincerely hope you find your snake, with best wishes, James

Situation resolved! I put a mouse out and a few mice in a cage in the lounge room... I also had flour spread around the place... walked in to find a perfect flour trail from the fridge to the mouse... then to the mouse cage... Low and behold, there she is sitting on the cage... I walk upto her and she is pulling the "It's not fair... I cant get to them" sad face... so i put her back in her tank and all is well... =) thanks to everyone for advice!

put yourself in her shoes, where would you be it you were a snake? youd be somewhere, where no one can find you haha lol. i had a escapee the other day, it was a little diamond hatchy, he ended up being inside a ipod dock, soo i had to pull it all apart:( haha got him back tho:)
hope you find your little girl!

Wonder what its taste in music was like.

Congratulations on finding the snake. I had a pacific boa in Fiji that escaped. I found it a year later, still alive, and put it back in it's enclosure. Good excuse for not doing homework lol.
