They tend to rust over time , they have wire inside them and after a few years of use and bending water gets inside them , otherwise they is the awesome!
 
They tend to leave some little floaty bits in the water from the textured outer layer too. Don't think it does any harm though.
 
Yeah I use them for both the frogs and the crickets to get out of the water. Is fantasic, otherwise lots of dead crickets!!
 
I love those vines - have them in all of the Morelia enclosures. They have natural rope as well as a wire in the middle. I would be concerned about them getting waterlogged as moisture wicks up inside. This might also be a site for bacterial growth, too. No evidence, just a possible concern. It would look great!
