Hi,

Ive got a female bredli carpet python. shes almost 2 years old. Just wanted to know if i am feeding her enough. I feed her a small adult rat every 10-12 days. should i be giving her more food but less frequently?

Also what is the normal size for a snake her age? I want her to get big, she seems to be getting longer but shes still quite slender.

any help would be great, shes my first snake. :)

Hey, I have a 2 year old bredli as well and I am feeding her one large adult rat every 7 days. So you could look into increasing the size of food and frequency but its up to you. The more that is feed the larger they will get.
To be honest I do not know what the average size is meant to be for a two year old. Mine is 1.5 meters and one kilo in weight to give you a little insight.
Sorry I can not be more of a help,
Cheers Cameron.

Would probably be looking at increasing the rat to a medium adult, but depends on its feeding history.
