Fish ID?

hey guys, I found this fish in ross river, does anyone have any idea what it is? I was getting guppies to go in my turtles outdoor tub, is this fish safe for him to eat? (Not that he's been eating the fish lately)

looks like some kind of gudgeon to me looks like a nice fish feed the guppys that ones a keeper.

It's not a cod, its a gudgeon of some sort. Possible snakehead gudgeon?

Sleepy Cod are the largest species of freshwater Gudgeon in Australia...

true. Cod down this way means Maccullochella peelii. do sleepy cod have that lateral stripe cause i've not seen a juvie one?
