Whats with the fact that in the guidline thingy it says to putt full detailes in, like pics etc. y arn't some people able to do this? its really annoying going to check it out and 1. there is either no pic 2. or a bunch of posts asking for pics.

just having my say on the matter. make sure u have urs.

well maybe if they dont hav pics avalible they should just say that in the first post

It may be possible for the site to have some ' tick and flick ' lines in the post. Like you click a button for willing to freight or not, whether CB or wild caught etc. It is possibly easier to let people type it out but it is noticable that some of the regularly asked questions could just have prompts to try and get all the info that should be there there in one hit instead of 10 posts later. It wouldn't be too time consuming for the poster if done well.

I agree with Jim...and then there could be a section for general comments. I think if it was done, to make sure it was followed through, the poster shouldn't be allowed to post it unless all fields/tick boxes have been set by the poster.

I agree about the photos! But I also agree with the statement that some people can't get hold of a camera or scanner!

Bring the photos I say! Probably the closest I'll ever get to another animal at this rate! :lol:

Pics are great and save time in people asking for them, but if you don't have access to a camera then there is not much you can do. JMO.

But surely people that don't have a camera can borrow from a neighbour, or friend or something. So instead of posting the add and then 3days later posting a pic (meanwhile 10 replies about wanting photo's have been added), just wait till u have the photo and THEN make the add. Yeah woma i like ur idea.

Pics - if possible
Price
Location - It really bugs me when you see local buyers only and no location
If the item is an animal then we should also have
Total length
Wieght
Pics with a way to guage size, say have to victim next to a ruler
General condition
Feeding habits
Disposition

Pics you say? I did not bother putting a photo of my juvie Water Python in my ad as all Water Pythons look pretty much the same.
Aint it funny how people love to tell the Slatey's how they should run their site.
Liberatchi and Jimmy, what happened to that classified site you guys were talking about? When will that be up and running? Then you can make people post all the pictures you want.
The thing that annoys me most about the For Sale forum is people treating it like a chat room and posting useless comments like "I'm tempted but can't really afford it." and "nice looking snake" and other crap like that.

Yeh, I try and clean up stuff like that but sometimes the conversation adds to the sale (eg Trio Hosmers Skinks http://www.aussiepythons.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=7164 ). Its a fine line and I won't please everyone.
