lol yea they thought i had some weapon cos i have a 12'' dobsonian lol,Mcnaught was awesome got some great pics from that but i think the best thing i saw was the total solar eclipse in ceduna in 2002. Plus all my money this years is gong towards the total solar eclipse this year,setting up in Port Douglas.

It is still visible, look towards the south at around 3-4am, you will likely only see the tail though. There was a ripper back in 1996 but I can't recall its name now.

Ceduna was awesome. If I have any complaint to make, it's that totality was too short. This one in Cairns (or Port Douglas) will be longer. It is very early in the morning, low on the horizon, so we'll have to hope for very clear skies.

For those who want to know what we're talking about, there's a total solar eclipse on 14 November 2012 in the Cairns region: Eclipse 2012 - Cairns Great Barrier Reef Official Tourism Website. If you're at all interested in coming, it's probably best to start booking accommodation now.

yes very low will be hoping for good weather,i know what ya mean 33 secounds of totality but still was worth the trip,so hopefully we can see the eclipse thats if the world doesnt end LMFAO
