Quail are an excellent food source, and can sometimes get that tricky feeder to start.

You can get large quails (180-250 grams) for $2 so they are also very cost effective when compared to rats. My snakes get a mix of quails and rats (about 50/50) so they dont develop a preference for one or the other
 
Just wanted to update - defrosted a baby quail & pinkie rat (that was the last rodent she ate with Snake Ranch) & she scoffed them both down tonight so I'm heaps happy with that! Got the confidence to try a adult mouse next week - if not I'll just work on mixing smaller rodents (hopper mouse maybe) & a baby quail for I know she'll take that.

Thanks again everyone for their responses & help - so good to see the girl eating & I highly recommend the quails to help those fussy eaters start eating something!
