cheers everyone who's voted (not only for me but for anyone)... this is a great oppertunity for one of us and i just wanna say thankyou to the rock (rob), Stockeh (matt from animal attraction) and page (unsure if this is your real name aswell) for helping one lucky person start out.

ok heres a little bit about myself..
i'm 19 and i just LOVE animals, i have 4 central beardies that i got for my last birthday (May).. so i'm still kinda new to this all.. but yes as some people have said i already have some reptiles (unlike others).. i also have a dog (foxy) and two birds (Cockatiels).. at the moment my only job is being slave to my animals and parents... and fixing up our 5 acre property that we brought at christmas... umm.... dont think i can think of anything else... but if you have any questions feel free to ask :mrgreen:

Hmmmm it is a tough one and even though Megz seems like a sweetie I think I'm gonna have to go with Slackra for a few reasons. Like others have said, he doesn't have any herps at all yet which (no offence Megz ) I think makes him a bit more deserving, plus like Phillis said in the other thread we've met Andrew and he came all the way over to Phil's house to see his setups and check out the diff types of snakes and funnily enough he really seemed to like his Bredl, Bert . Plus my other half voted for Reptilegirl so it's only fair that I balance it out lol

no offence taken i totally understand the reasons you have voted for SLACKra.
I too would love to check out an APS members setup/s but it seems the closest is a few (about 3-4) hours away i plan to some time later this year take a trip to melbourne to check out some reptile shops and hopefully check out some peoples setups... (oh i almost forgot) and to visit my sister :wink:

:mrgreen: thank you to both of ya's... the only problem would be that i'd be flying down to melbourne... might be able to stop off in sydney but it would either have to be a very quick visit or i'd have to crash at a hotel for the night... but i'd really love to see your outdoor setup.

Thanks for the descrip Reptilegirl & Slackra...You both seem to want it and both seem to really be the kind of people to take care of it. I know there are others in it to but seems like its gonna come down to you two.

But when It comes down to it My vote goes to Slackra.... Its harder when your younger to get something you really want...

my votes going to reptilegirl. It's good to see a country girl, who is isolated from other herp keepers and who can't just pop over to tom or dicks place see what to do, check out setups,etc. Reptilegirl takes her time to make sure she has it right before getting a reptile. Go Girlfriend, you have my vote.
