fresh bamboo for perches

hey guys getting a gtp this week and was wondering if i could use fresh bamboo for perches and just replace every month as i have acess to plenty of it

I used to use fresh bamboo also,replace every few weeks or so..unless it needed to be changed earlier...Otherwise dowling is another option..

Bamboo is good, it looks much better than dowel and is resistant to moisutre.
