Hey there,
we were checking out some of the local wildlife up at the Wattigan National park (fav place ever! =D)
And we came across the hugest tadpoles we've ever seen around there. The frog-let in the photos is about 5cm but some of the other tadpoles are about 6 - 7cm.
We caught a few for some photos and as just wondering what they are, before we go let them go today.
My brother searched around and came to the conclusion that they may be Stuttering/Southern Barred Frogs, because of the stripes on their legs and the 3/4 webbing on the back legs and no webbing on the front.
any ideas?
thanks in advance!

Do you have a permit to collect tadpoles from the national park? It is illegal to remove native flora and fauna from any conservation reserves in NSW...

Were the tadpoles taken from a stream or a pond? They are either Mixophyes balbus or fasciolatus, it is difficult to tell from those pictures.

Na, i dont have a permit.
we found them in a puddle =) out the back of a servo in freemans waterhole - pretty sure thats still part of the Wattigans.
and we just took them for a closer look. they are back in their puddle, safe and sound now.
