Last night I was thinking of Christmases past...and remembered something very funny that happened about 34 yrs ago. My kids were about 3 or 4, we were at a midnight Christmas church service. The nativity setting was at the back of the church. We sat towards the front...the church was packed....everything was quiet, when suddenly from the back of the church, a baby started to cry. One of my kids suddenly said...in a loud voice...why do kids always speak loudly :D.....mummy baby Jesus is crying !!! Well....the whole church suddenly burst out laughing....it was soooo funny!! My ...babies...are now adults and have school children of their own, and probably have no memory of what happened that Christmas, but I'll never forget.

I remember Christmas 12 years ago, my cousins got some new mountain bikes, we were all riding these bikes to the top of the large hill and then back down the hill as fast as possible, being in the country the road was, and still is the very rough bitumen, probably equivalent to 001 grit sand paper lol.

but anyway, riding down the hill, hit a bump at the bottom, got the wobbles up and then went over the front of the bike landing on my left side and then sliding down the road on my hip, knee and elbow. spent about 3 hours in the hospital because someone arrived just before I did after being bitten by a snake.

I got a tetanus injection, gauzes and the likes all up and down my left side, and they would've stitched me but there was nothing left to stitch. and everyone was annoyed because I delayed the opening of the presents after lunch by 3 hours :)

good fun to laugh about now, and not the funniest story other then it happening on christmas, I'm sure the other bloke who got to the hospital before me would have a much more interesting story to tell.......

I bought myself a bike last week, and not having ridden for about 10 yrs am very wobbly....2 days ago I came a cropper on a ladies front lawn....I have a big bruise on my tummy...thankfully there's plenty of fat in that area...and a badly cut shin. Maybe I'm too old to be learning how to ride a bike again. I need trainer wheels front and back and a big... L ....on my back. :)

Years ago my wife's family's cat "Bicky" died. Everyone was soooooo upset. They grew up with this cat since they were kids. Anyway I took it down the back and buried it for them. On Christmas day (about two or three weeks later) we were all at my in-laws and I brought my boxer dog with me. We were all downstairs in the yard when we smelt something really bad. The dog dragged a set of bones with meat hanging off them into the group. Everyone was freaking out about it saying things like, "What is it?" I knew immediately that it was Bicky (or part of him) but amazingly nobody else seemed to put two and two together.
Years later we had a 'funny pet story' session with my mates one night and that story was the winner. Mates being mates, they told my wife about it and she didn't see the funny side of it though.

Last year we have decided to meet up in the park for xmas lunch as all our kids are 2 - 10 yr old, we thought it be more fun for them. When we got there, the park was full of muslim families, with women wearing their full islamic black dresses and burkas. My son then 3 obviously never noticed that before so walked up to me and on top of his voice asked, "WHAT are they!?" As most people heard this and turned around to hear my explenation, emberrased, I started to explain that it is their religion. After I have finished, He thought for a minute and then with an even louder voice shuted...." Nahhhhhhhh......they ninjas!!!!"...... I seriously could have dug a hole and buried myself in it!!!!
