Great book! A little look back in herptime

Hi all,

Just thought id let you all know about a great book written by John Cann called "Snakes Alive! Snake experts and Antidote sellers of Australia". It covers all the wierd and wonderful snakemen and women of australias past and the antidotes they used to pedal around the country and sometimes overseas. Its available from John himself at the La perouse snake displays (Sundays and public holidays 1pm to 5pm La perouse ring road Sydney, always good to get a signed copy!!!) and from what google tells me its available from the herpshop and also the ARP. I started reading it at the start of my shift on friday night and couldnt get my face out of it till i was finished. A great read and i highly recommend it to anyone.

It is a great read.

Some of the early "cures" described are positively scary. It is a wonder anybody survived in those early days.
