Greedy Carpet Python gets stuck

This 2.5m carpet python was taken to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's animal hostipal after it broke into a ckicken pen and ate 2 chickens.

The python ate too much to get out the whole it got in through.

After 4 days to mull over his meal the pythons belly is still bulging. It was even bigger when he was first brought in.

In apparent pain, he has not been the happiest of patients during his stay at the animal hospital.

His meal almost doubled his body weight. The lump is almost 3 times his normal circumference.

A meal like that would last a month, at least.

In apparent pain,

Stressed to the max. poor thing - they just need somewhere warm and quiet to digest, not carted around the countryside in a box. How do you guage pain in a snake?
Not an overly massive meal either, must be slow news day for the bulletin!
Nice carpet though!

Yeh I thought it was a bit weak.
But I was pretty stoked to see a snake in the paper!!
