Does anyone know what this might mean?

Im at the vets now with my bearded dragon now, because the last 6 or so poo's in the last 24 hours have started out with green urate. The have all been solid, and followed by normal poo, up until the last one this morning that he did while in a warm bath.

Just wanted to get some heads up on what it means, I have a good feeling my vet is kinda dopey... XD

The last couple of days, the vet told me not to feed him, due to a slight impaction, could this just be all the built up gunk? Other than that he has been on crickets and a few vegies. He has had a serious amounts of calcium pumped into him the last week to at the vets

I'm not sure... Just when my beardies eat alot of yellow/orange/red coloured food there poop goes a slight tinge of that colour, I took them to the vet the first time it happened and he said it was just the food he was eating.
Hope this helps

regardless of what colour food i feed my beardies urates are still pure white, somtimes with a pinkish 'cord'. (cant think of a better way to describe that, but its def not green) the poo changes colour, but not the urates.

if you have no faith in ur vet try a different one,...is this the beardy that started developing a lump in the same place as the one that passed away?

the only time i saw green urates was from a diamond i rescued that had been almost starved to death, once she came good so did her urates.

6 poos in 24 hours is wrong.
i had a girl pass away a few years ago who pooed that often for a day before she died, (mostly urates tho) the autopsy revealed an infected follicle that hadnt been reabsorbed.
stupidly i figured that must be an impaction since she kept trying to poo, had her booked in to the vets for sat morning but she didnt make it thru friday night....the excessive pooing had started on the friday morning.

maybe get the vet to do blood tests for infections, and get her liver function tested?

does she make any noise?
like 'clearing her throat' ?
after losing my fave beardy i did heaps of research and found that noise is common in reptiles with advanced liver disease.

good luck, sounds like ur having a crappy week. :(

Spot on Chris Green urates usally mean liver infection lack of food or also after they have been breading for a long time get all test done biggest prob if she dies you could have bought 10 beardies for the price of all the vet tests good luck Jessie.

Chris, this is the one.
We had it back at the vets on wednesday, were he did xrays, and found minor impaction, we were told not to feed her, but to just keep up the warm baths, and this is when she started to poop.
He had given her some calcium injections on wednesday, and we had been given stuff to inject her with too.

The vet today didnt tell us much as to WHY it was green, just her urate wasnt dilute at all, so he gave her a fluid injection, and more calcium.
Though he thinks some sort of fungal infection might be in her gut, so we have anti biotics, and anti fungal stuff to give her.

No, no noise, but she makes a show of licking her lips often?
I really dont want to loose another one, and neither is mum, we are pumping as much of our funds into her as possible, and want to know what we are doing wrong, before we even consider getting any other pets

cobra6t9r is on the money. If the urates are green AND slimy, it could also be a sign of amoeba.
