Probably because fuzzies have hair on them and so they smell like food. Or maybe simply they like hitting bigger prey items.Fuzzies are a lot better nutritional wise.

Interesting thing is not what nutrition that each animal has but what does the snake need so that it can grow. Also the percentages seem a little off as well. There should be lotsa fat and protein (like most mammals) but these seem to make up <50% of the total body weight in the test animals....what is the rest? I presume bone makes up some but the proportions seem a little wrong.

My interest is what is the nutritional composition of a lizard as that is what most snakes have for their natural prey...other reptiles.
