looking for ideas on enclosure types size, heating, ect. any ideas would be great preferably from others who keep Green Tree Pythons. cheers.

You're right snakecharma it looks good but i would recommend having the enclosure sealed or waterproofed. Mine is kept in an enclosure with dark green contact to prevent the wood from expanding and rotting. I spray/mist the enclosure often. I also have a heat panel in there that is available for purchase from the Herp Trader.

ahhhh yes thats true but that one does look as if its been sealed with some sort of varnish

but my actual idea was to get a white malamine kitchen cupboard, ya know the ones ya get from the hardware store for like $100 and then sealing it all up and adding the heating

I use hmr malmine and heat panels for all of mine

If you want good reliable data you cant go passed the book "The more Complete Chondro" Its available on the herpshop website for $75.

Mine was melamine with the contact but found the moisture still got underneath the contact and caused lifting etc. and thus the melamine ended up expanding etc. I'm paranoid about using chemicals and sealants etc in enclosures.

if you use hmr you with have no problems i have cages which are 6 years old and i mist them 3 times a week

It looks great. I would suggest you install fore horizontal branches of different thickness and place some of the just bellow the shelves. The pythons will feel secure with the solid shelving above their heads.

thanks for the info so far, sorry but what is hmr? i was thinking of one of the comercial built glass enclosures with added insulation and extra glass on top to retain heat and humidity or building my own out of sealed marine ply with glass doors, the complete chrondro and more complete chrondro are in the mail, any suggestions for heating it gets very cold were i am and with no house heating inside temps drop to 8'c at times for short periods other species have no probs
