Just came home to find my female laying her eggies, and realised that I have no idea what temp to incubate at? Can I incubate at 28 degrees?

:0)

Congrats Saz! Cant help with the temp but thats great news! How many 'eggies' has she laid so far?

A clear plastic lid with no ventilation holes allows for monitoring of the eggs during their 60 days of incubation. Temperatures shouldn't exceed 28c but some fluctuation is beneficial with 22 c being the lower limit and 28c the Maximum. Taking the lid off weekly to check them will allow the eggs fresh air, at this time spray the eggs with water every few days to prevent them drying out.

I got this info from a sheet that Toad sent me, I hope he doesnt mind me using it :-(....

thats awome saz, as far as i know go with 28c

Thanks guys, dunno how many eggs, I left her alone as soon as I noticed. The thing that alerted me to something being different was that the male was sitting on HER normal perching spot right at the front of the enclosure, he never sits there, so I went to have a look and there she was in the corner doing her business. Looked like he was keeping watch for predators or something!!

They've had a web cam on them that I've been watching from work, and both have been on the ground a lot today, she must have started laying whilst I was on the way home!

I think the temp in the containers is actually slightly lower than 28, so hoping that will be alright?

I don't want to count my boydii before they've hatched, hehehe!!

Well done Sarah, from what Indicus has said incubation doesn't seem to be a problem and given your success with other species it should be fine.

Thanks Boa, I went back to the thread with the post from Indicus, (forgot I had even asked previously!), seems that 28 or thereabouts should be fine. She is still guarding her eggs, there looks to be about 5 I think.
