I dont really give a rats bottom about olympics etc I think they work hard for it, but its their choice we all(most of us)have to work hard. I feel that he wanted to give it a shot so good on him for trying now he can get back to other stuff perhaps

We paid him $150,00 so he could get more spot light and make his future earnings a lot better. Give back the money now that your out and let someone new who has a chance have the money. We pay them and there coaches to swim then when they win they make more money, all they need is a cosy and some goggles, the equestrian team need to provide the horse($200,000+), all the gear ($10,000+), pay for the transport to and from for horse, then pay for them to come home which a lot can not afford due to quarantine so have to sell horse to recoup money all the while paying for there own coaches and then even when they win which is often in the olympics they get nothing of Aust Gov. Bit Wrong in my book>

Too right. Its the same with cycling. My wifes best mate is Kerrie Meares (the amount of medals and titles Kerrie and Anna have between them is countless) and I've been filled in the complete lack of support and funding they receive in regards to their profession, yet they're still expected to represent Australia.

So you can't walk away from a sports career at the peak of your success to try to become famous then walk straight back into it a couple of years later. Who'd have thought...

I think it is grossly unfair that some sports are funded more so than others... Mind you I wouldnt actually donate any money for sports people(eg tax dollars)if I had a choice.... Sorry if that offends, I really do think it is their decision to compete etc so they should do it themselves. I admire them for their hard work as I admire any hard worker, but I personally didnt ask them to go forth and represent the Country..... Just my very "unsportsman like"opinion lol (I know the diehard sporties are gonna luvvv me now heh heh heh)

Off topic here, but I think the way the world 'Idolizes' celebraties. I think it is the biggest load of horse doodoo. I honestly couldnt give a rats bum-bum if Kim Kardashian adopted a baby, BIG WOOP! And all these fancy 10 page "Wedding Specials" in the newspapers and magazines and they put it all over the internet too. I didnt see helicopters and people taking pictures at my parents wedding(i as still a little white worm at the time if ya know what I mean) but still. I think THAT is the 'Ha Ha' topic.

Off topic here, but I think the way the world 'Idolizes' celebraties. I think it is the biggest load of horse doodoo. I honestly couldnt give a rats bum-bum if Kim Kardashian adopted a baby, BIG WOOP! And all these fancy 10 page "Wedding Specials" in the newspapers and magazines and they put it all over the internet too. I didnt see helicopters and people taking pictures at my parents wedding(i as still a little white worm at the time if ya know what I mean) but still. I think THAT is the 'Ha Ha' topic.

I saw choppers taking pics at my wedding but hey, I'm paranoid and maybe they didn't actually exist.

I agree completely. Well that is I would agree with you completely if I considered equestrian a sport.
