My first clutch of coastals hatched on the 13th of December. 10/11 hatched perfectly, and I'm pretty happy to be having my first breeding experience.
8 of them have shed, most on the 28/12 the last on the 2/1. All but 2 of these have eaten.
im not so worried about the ones that havent taken a mouse yet, I'm trying every few days, and my next try will be scenting with lizard or fish (any other suggestions welcome)

Im more concerned about the last 2 that still havent shed. I have read all the chapters in Swans keeping and Breeding Australian Pythons, and no advice on longer shedding times.
I have put moist paper towel in the boxes, thats the only tip i found.

Do any experienced breeders have any advice for me? When should I worry, how long can a first shed take?
Is there anything else i can do? And I suppose most importantly, can I offer them food if they haven't shed yet? I seem to remember reading it can take up to 80 days for a first feed, so am I safe to wait?

Thanks in advance

You can offer food when they havent shed , it wont hurt them to eat , infact it might help them to shed . As long as they have a little water bowl they should be fine , it is their job to drive you crazy , they never all eat and shed on time . Have fun .

Thanks for your reply (now i can go to bed!)
i will offer them food tomorrow :)
They do have a little water bowl, which I change every 2nd day. They are in the same conditions as the others, just slow to take off i guess.
They might drive me a little crazy, but i can see why people go keeping to breeding and get addicted all over again.
