Yeah they commonly break aquarium glass, there are two types.. 1 that has a hammer and one that users a spear.

I'd love to keep mantis shrimp. Diver's call them thumb splitters.. put your finger in the wrong crevice in the reef and bam

My friend has a awesome reef tank and got a new piece of live rock for it. only to find two of these little guys in there. cracked his aquarium glass. luckily he had another tank set up while it got repaired.

My friend has been "punched" by a particularly large one. It punched him 3 times and left him with a horrific wound on his finger. The knuckle was fractured and he had to get stitches :shock:
