Heat lamps melt plastic?

Hey there,
Just a question! Does low wattage ceramic heat emitters or any kind of low wattage heat lamps melt normal plastic tubs? Or is that a stupid question? thanks anyways!

may not melt them straight away but will definetly make them brittle over time and yeah will probably melt them too
