At the moment I am making temporary enclosures for my bhp's. I bought the exo-terra heat mats and you need to keep the connector attached to the "glass". Just wondering if it would be ok mounted to the bottom of a plastic tub? Or will I have to cut out a section and glue some glass in?

cheers Shane

I had one of these heat mats...how much wattage is it? If it is an 8 watt it'll be fine on the plastic. If you think it is to hot, I just stuck mine under a piece of glass and put the enclosures ontop of that glass! This way I can put any sized tub on it and saves having to use just 1 particular tub (gives some variety).
You could also stick glass under, a bit more work but it's a great idea!!!

use 10 cents on each corner of the tub and u can sit it on the heatmat aslong as a little gap of air can get between the tub and the mat it should be alright
