How high should a pygmy bearded dragon tank be if it is 900ml long by 450ml high?

Thanks, Sarah

i have my pygmy bearded dragon in my 900x45x45.
I have found that i had to suspend my lightfixture (hood) and tube halfway down into his cage to get it within the desired distance. I have done this with shoelace strings tied to crossing beams across the top of my tank.
Hope this has helped you. Please feel free to ask me anything to do with the pygmys

hey so the tank i have is made of wood. How do i provide heat from the floor? im not really keen on using those heat rocks cause iv heard many horror stories about them.

you should never provide heat from the floor for a dragon. They feel heat from above and can get really burnt with under tank heaters or heat rocks.

The best thing is to have 2 lights. This is what i use for my pygmy:
1)60w basking light (tight beam) with ceramic fitting on one end. Get his basking spot up to 45celcius
2)2 foot arcadia 12 or reptisun 12 uvb tube. This should be placed 7-10 inches from your dragon.
