Hi,

I hav had my first clutch in the incubator for 2 weeks now and i noticed tuesday that the humidity reading was low so added some more water to the vermiculite, it came back up so i thought everything was ok, then yesterday morning it was way low again, so i added some more water, and it just wouldn't come back up, so i did some test and it looks like the humidity reader is on the brink! so then i was worried i'd added too much water to the vermiculite, so have transported the eggs to the spare container ihad set up? is this the right thing to do? i didn't turn or move them to much, just lifted them up, candled them (as this wasthe first chance i had had to do that) and put them back down as close to how they wereas possible! i hope this will be ok and not loose the eggs, as i had read to much water can kill them!! on the brighter side all 11 had nice red veins and in some i could see little dark shadows? i hope this is a good sign!! any comments would be welcome!!
oh i also threwout all the duds that were going mouldy

As long as you mix the vermiculite 1:1 with water by weight, and put a sealed lid on, then the humidity should stay relatively stable, only requiring the odd few extra drops of water later in the incubation. If you moved the eggs carefully, I'm sure they will be fine. What is the temp at, was that on the blink too?

no the temp is still working fine, its sitting between 29.5 - 30.5 its pretty damn hot up here so its not dropping to low and i haven't seen it get up past 31 on the hottest day, so i hope that is ok! i moved them as carefully as possible, and just picked them up and laid them back down in the same motion, so i hope they will be ok!
